Hi There, Well-Beings!

This week, I wanted to focus on an oil blend that has served me very well over the past year and is a VIP in my emotional support lineup. It smells like liquid sunshine, so I often wear it in my aromatherapy locket and use it in my perfume blends. I have yet to find someone who isn’t enchanted by this sweet, fun-loving, delightful little oil, so I’m pleased as punch to share it with you in this Essential Oil Spotlight.

Citrus Bliss, also known as the Invigorating Blend, is a sunny, sumptuous blend of Wild Orange, Lemon, Grapefruit, Mandarin, Bergamot, Tangerine, and Clementine essential oils, with the sweetest touch of Vanilla Bean Absolute. It is refreshing, purifies and cleanses the air, and reduces stress and uplifts the mood all at once. You can add Citrus Bliss to a spray bottle of water and use it to clean surfaces, add to wool dryer balls to freshen laundry, and diffuse, or dilute and roll on the wrists as a mood boosting personal perfume.

Absolute sunshine. I dare you not to love this blend.

I love lavender, but I find that as an extra-sensitive HSP and an Empath, lavender isn’t a great oil for me in the evening hours. In fact, it kinda makes my mind race. What’s been interesting over this past year has been discovering the special plant magic of certain oils. Chemically speaking citrus oils contain both calming and energizing constituents, and like I said like magic, you get what you need in the moment. Citrus Bliss is an oil I know I can always reach for, day or night. It keeps me cheery and refreshed when the sun is up and calms me down and keeps me happy while I drift off to sleep. Pretty nifty, huh?

So, there’s something important to know about citrus oils, and that’s that most of them are considered photosensitive. In a future post I’ll be going into more detail about exactly what photosensitivity is, but the Cliff’s Notes here are that you want to avoid putting these oils directly onto skin that will be exposed to the sun or UV light or any kind. Photosensitive oils can speed up the effects of the sun’s rays, which can put you in a potentially dangerous situation, and is why I love to wear Citrus Bliss on aromatherapy jewelry instead. It’s safer and more stylish. What’s not to love?

Don’t have diffuser jewelry? You can make your own with lava beads. I get mine at Michaels.

Citrus Bliss is one of my favorite blends to give to the special people in my life who aren’t quite sure about essential oils, because it’s so versatile and is such a home run for both men and women. It’s one of the more reasonably priced oils when you have a wholesale account too, so I go through quite a bit of this stuff and it isn’t hard on my budget when it’s time to reorder. My secret weapon personal fragrance is a mix of Whisper, the women’s blend, with a touch of Citrus Bliss for extra sweetness. It gets a lot of compliments, and my boyfriend enjoys it because it isn’t “perfumey”.

My parting gift to you this week is my all time favorite diffuser blend for warm, sunny days (or maybe just days you wish were warm and sunny). This blend is ready to add ambiance to your next get-together or just to spread joy in whatever room you’re in. It’ll give you those beachy vibes whenever you want them. I call it Sun & Surf, so feel free to put on some Beach Boys or Dick Dale to complete the mood, or put on your favorite Frankie & Annette movie. (Mine’s Beach Blanket Bingo!)

Sunscreen and frozen beverage optional.

Wishing You Total Well-Being,

Jennifer
